Jos Buttler set to miss the remaining IPL season due to England Test call up

England keeper-batsman Jos Buttler has maintained that former Indian Captain MS Dhoni remains his idol.

English wicket keeper Jos Buttler has been a revelation for the English team. Ever since he has returned from the IPL, he has carried on with his purple patch, scoring loads of runs.

Jos Buttler has showered heaps of praise over legendary Indian keeper-batsman MS Dhoni from time to time. He once said that he imagined what someone like Dhoni would have done in a crunch situation like a difficult chase.

Buttler himself acknowledged time and again after his match-winning century against Australia that he was thinking what Dhoni would have done in this situation. Buttler said, “When you’re out there at least you can do something about it. I was just trying to soak up the pressure and imagine what MS Dhoni would do.”

After Dhoni’s ultra slow innings at Lord’s that contributed to India’s loss in the 2ns ODI, Buttler still maintained that MS Dhoni was someone whom he idolized. Buttler loves the ability of Dhoni to remain extremely calm under pressure situations.

“He’s (Dhoni) always been a bit of an idol of mine, especially his demeanour. I enjoy the way he never looks flustered, and he’s one of these guys who seems to be not out at the end.” Buttler told sport360.com in a recent interview.

Buttler has been in the form of his life. For England to make an impact in the 3rd and the final ODI, his contribution will be instrumental.
