After the match, Jose Mourinho had an interesting take on his booking.

“The yellow card was fair, because I was rude. But I was rude to an idiot,” he said after the match when asked about the yellow card.

Tottenham went on to lose the match 1-0 after Danny Ings’ brilliant early strike. Tottenham could not find the equaliser through the match. Even worse, Harry Kane limped off with what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

Tottenham are currently 6th on the table. This loss has put them 6 points adrift of Chelsea at 4th place. The gap could prove to be much too hard to conquer should Harry Kane get side-lined with for weeks or even months to come.
