According to various media outlets, Real Madrid have agreed a 180 million deal for Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe, with the French international set to join the club in the coming weeks.

Although Monaco have denied reaching an agreement with Real Madrid, it is only a matter of time before Mbappe becomes the most expensive player in history.

But before that deal happens, Real Madrid will have to raise some funds through selling one of either Karim Benzema or Gareth Bale. While Benzema could cost around 50 million, the Welshman could easily cost around 70-80 million this summer.

Benzema is a favourite of Perez and shares a wonderful rapport with Ronaldo, both on and off the pitch, making him the more likely to stay. Bale though is another matter all together.

While Perez believes that Bale is the future of Real Madrid, Ronaldo is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Once the best winger in the world, Ronaldo has now completed his metamorphosis into a traditional number nine.

In spite of all his critics last season, Ronaldo stepped up when it mattered the most and played a vital role in their double winning season. And no matter what he does, as long as Cristiano is still the top dog at Real, Bale cannot truly become the superstar that he is destined to be.

Which is why Manchester United are ready to swoop in and snatch Bale if Madrid put him on the market. Jose is ready to shelve his transfer plans if the possibility of signing Bale arises in the coming weeks.

The addition of Bale would make Manchester United a strong favourite for the Premier league and a huge threat in the Champions league. Jose knows that Bale would be a game changer, which is why he is ready to break the bank for the Welshman.

As it stands, United and not Monaco are ready to benefit from Mbappe’s transfer to Real Madrid this summer.
