Aaron Ramsey to Juventus

Italian giants Juventus are on the verge of landing the Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey in a free transfer after this season, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. The Welsh midfielder will be allowed to negotiate with the foreign clubs from January as his contract expires in the forthcoming summer.

The Italian report also suggests that Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan are the other two sides interested on the midfielder, but Juventus are currently leading the three-horse race to lure him to Turin. His wage demands would be matched by very few clubs across Europe, but the Old Lady are ready to match his demands and secure the signature of the former Cardiff City graduate.

The 27-year has been in and out of the starting eleven under Unai Emery, who certainly sees him as a huge loss to this Gunners side despite shutting down the negotiations months before.

“Two months ago we spoke together, both for his moment, his present and future. I think it was a very good conversation,” Emery said.

“I said to you also here in the press conference that I want his focus only on the team, on giving us his performances. His present is as I want, and his future is very important for him and his family.

“I think in the last matches his focus [is there]. We were speaking between us [the coaches] and I look at him in every match.”

“His focus is positive for us, it helps us. He needs to think about his future, for his family and for him. If he plays like [in the north London derby], it’s the best for him and the best for us.”

“This conversation is not for today, for us or for me. It’s one situation that was closed one or two months ago.

“At the moment the most important thing is he’s smiling, he has the commitment, the behavior and the performances like yesterday – that’s the best for him and for us.”

Over the last decade, Juventus have signed Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba, Kingsley Coman, Sami Khedira, Fernando Llorente, Dani Alves, and Emre Can in a free transfer who have gone on to become a huge success at the Allianz Stadium. Should they add Aaron Ramsey to their roster, it will prove to be a great addition as the Italian outfit are eyeing to lift the Champions League.

The addition of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus squad has made them much stronger as they sit at top of the table with 46 points out of the possible 48. Besides, they have topped the group and have qualified for the Champions League knock out rounds.

Aaron Ramsey has made 350 appearances for the Gunners and has lifted three FA Cups in the process. It will be tough to replace the Welsh International who was the heartbeat in Arsene Wenger’s side and has been a more or less starter under Unai Emery.

Adrien Rabiot, Denis Suarez, and Pablo Fornals are seen to fill the void of the Welsh International. Additionally, there has been plenty of names linked with a move to the Emirates as a replacement for Aaron Ramsey, but nothing is concrete yet as they go in search for the Champions League football next term.
