The ankle injury scan result for Cristiano Ronaldo is out.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus have been flying this campaign as the Portuguese International is the top scorer in the Serie A with 19 goals and has registered another 8 assists to his name. Out of the 25 games played this season, the Old Lady have won 22 games and have drawn another three and are thirteen points above the second-placed Napoli.
Juventus traveled to Bologna on Sunday and edged the visitors 1-0, courtesy to a second-half strike from the Argentine Paulo Dybala. At times, Massimilano Allegri’s men have not looked convincing, but they muster out points which shows the mettle of a champion.
However, they could be dealt with a severe blow as their record signing Cristiano Ronaldo suffered an ankle injury when he played with pain for the whole game on Sunday. The Portuguese International trained alone on Wednesday and the club said that the forward needs a test on the injury.

Juve confirmed via their official website that “check-ups have been scheduled for today and tomorrow [Thursday] following a knock to his left ankle during the game against Bologna”.
The scan has determined that the 34-year-old did not suffer any significant damage in his ankle. The Portuguese International is expected to miss the huge clash against the second-placed Napoli on Sunday, but he is expected to be back for the Champions League tie against Atletico Madrid on March 12th.

Despite all these claims, this injury will come as a huge headache for the league toppers who play Carlo Ancelloti’s men at San Paolo on Sunday in what might turn out to be an excellent matchup. Juventus will know that they can go 16 points above Napoli if they come away with a win at Naples in the Serie A.
Following the game at Naples, they will face Udinese before the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 against Atletico Madrid at Allianz Stadium. Diego Simeone’s side took a 2-0 lead in the first leg and will be determined to stop Cristiano Ronaldo and co at Turin.
There is certainly no shortage of options for the Old Lady as they have Mario Mandzukic, Paulo Dybala, Juan Cuadrado, and Douglas Costa in the forward line. However, Massimilano Allegri will miss a player of Cristiano Ronaldo’s caliber who has the ability to win games on his own.
