Ronaldo is increasingly linked with a move away to Juventus.

The Portuguese star forward is currently headlining the transfer market. The Portuguese star might be set for a shocking move to Juventus after various reports from Spain and Portugal claim that talks have already begun for the transfer.

After contributing in Real Madrid’s 3-1 Champions League final win over Liverpool in Kiev, the 33-year-old clarified that he was uncertain about his future at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“Now to enjoy, and in the next few days I will give an answer to the fans that they are on my side, it was very nice to be in Madrid,” he spoke post-match.

Earlier, Marca reported that Real Madrid wants Ronaldo to publicly announce his decision to leave the club. Now, Juventus have released an official public statement surrounding the speculations.

The statement seemingly signifies that no agreement has been reached for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, who has not been named. However, the statement does include the words, “news published recently on media outlets.”

Here is Juventus’ full statement:

“After the request from CONSOB related to the news published recently on media outlets, Juventus Football Club S.p.A is keen to remind that during the transfer season the club is evaluating several opportunities and will publish adequate information as prescribed by the law.”

Marca also reports that if Ronaldo publicly announces his departure from Real Madrid, the club would be willing to lower his release clause. At present, Ronaldo’s release clause is at €1 billion.
