Kimi Raikkonen slams Ferrari and media politics ahead of 2019 F1 season
Kimi Raikkonen is looking forward to this new lease of life with Alfa Romeo, his boyhood team; an experience that he is certain he will savour for a long time.
After Ferrari decided to not renew his contract post the 2018 season, his boyhood team came to his rescue.
While initially fans feared that Kimi might have to move away from F1, Sauber(now Alfa Romeo) was more than eager to secure the services of the Finn.
Kimi seems more than happy to be in F1 and has been questioned about his motivation going into this new season.

Being the straightforward man that he is, Kimi has always come up with a simple answer to this, admitting that he is a massive F1 fan and loves to drive.
But it is not only the racing that he is looking forward to in 2019; it is also the lack of politics within the team, something that hampered his overall functioning while he was at Ferrari.
Kimi is a no non-sense fellow and has always been the same. He doesn’t need the things surrounding F1 that are not concerned with ‘real racing’.
In a recent interview, Kimi took a massive dig at the politics present within the Ferrari system and how things will be different at Alfa Romeo.
“Finally no more politics. I really enjoy driving. Here everything is about the sport again. The bullshit is gone. That makes it easier for everyone. Otherwise the media are usually only interested in negative stories.” Kimi said taking a dig at Ferrari’s politics.

Testing has gone according to plan for Alfa Romeo as of now with the team getting some seriously good lap timing under their belt.
With the revolutionary new front wing design, Alfa Romeo can hope for a few podium finishes next season, especially with Kimi being a little more happier on track.
