Kimi’s current voice tone is because of a bike fall when he was small

Kimi Raikkonen is one of the most celebrated Formula 1 drivers of this generation, known for his brilliant skill on the track and for his no-nonsense behaviour off it.

The Finn has earned a massive fan following for himself with the way he carries himself on a Formula 1 weekend, different from anyone else in the sport.

Not only his statement, his voice tone too adds to the fun, as there is this childlike innocence in all his statements, one that provides so much joy to any and everyone who follows/worships him.

But there is a really bizarre(and a little scary) story behind how Kimi actually got his voice tone of his(and his lack of speech).

In a recently released biography of the Iceman, the actual reason behind his peculiar tone has been released.

Raikkonen had suffered a bike accident when he was 5 years old, wherein he fell of his bike and damaged his vocal chord because of the impact from the handle bar.

“His lack of speech and peculiar tone- the result of accidentally falling off a bike aged five and damaging a vocal chord through impact with a handlebar – is the first of many revelations in an extraordinary new biography of the iceman.” read the small review of Kimi’s new biography in the November issue of F1 racing.

This revelation comes as a massive one for a lot of F1 fans, who didn’t quite know this about their hero.

Kimi in fact interacted so scarcely with his parents that they even took him to a therapist in order to check if there was a problem.

The therapist had sent Kimi back, confirming that they had nothing to worry about and that Kimi was one with above average intelligence.

“Your son is above average intelligence. That could be the reason why he chooses to remain silent” a note from the Therapist read

Now, this does would come as a massive revelation to a lot of fans, who would finally have some reason to explain that peculiar voice of Kimi’s
