The tackle was not only a gritty and well cured one but a block which grew in stature owing to Kimpembe injury. The CB has since been massively lauded for his tenacity and resolve with lovers of the game appreciating his commitment to his side’s cause.
The tackle proved to be a game saving one for PSG with the club managing to scamper its way to a draw on the night, one which continues to leave them just the solitary point behind Lille. However, PSG will be well aware that they can’t afford to rely on individual players pulling off bits of brilliance coming up if they are to wipe the deficit separating them from top spot in the league.
The 0-0 draw meanwhile was enough to take Lyon into first place in the points tally. The club is currently above Lyon on basis of goal difference despite both the clubs having 33 points. PSG follow in third place with 32 points.
