Kofi Kingston: Americal Professional Wrestler Compares Saudi Events to Wrestlemania. Says the show gets bigger with every subsequent visit.
In an Interview with The National, WWE Champion Kofi Kingston compared the Saudi events to WWE’s Flagship show; Wrestlemania.
The Dreadlocked Dynamo said: “Every time we go to Saudi the show gets bigger and bigger. It is almost like a second WrestleMania to be honest with you.”
Kofi Kingston has had an amazing year. He was a late addition in the Elimination Chamber earlier this year, coming in as a replacement for an injured Ali. He enamoured the crowd with his performances and fast tracked his way to a title match against Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania.

American Professional Wrestler Kofi Kingston beat Bryan to become the WWE Champion as a wave of pure bliss and raw happiness swept the entire stadium. Kofi has since defended his championship several times and has proven himself to be a worthy fighting champion on both Raw and SmackDown. He will defend his title once again at the WWE Super Showdown in the desert kingdom against Dolph Ziggler.
The Champion spoke of a connection he felt with the Saudi Nation and his eagerness to be back in the country.
“I have told this story before but before we ever had a show there, I went there for promotional work,” said the 37-year-old. “I was there for seven days and it was one of the greatest experiences of my WWE career.
“It was great meeting and talking to fans and people there who had dreams of WWE coming to their country.
“Now you fast forward four or five years later and we have events now in Saudi that are just so big and I have witnessed the growth.
“To be a part of that is really special and every time we go to Saudi, I look forward to that. The energy is of the charts and it is about putting smiles on people’s faces. I can’t wait to go back.”

The Saudi General Sports Authority, in partnership with WWE, will host the WWE Super Showdown. The event will emanate from the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Friday, June 7th.
