KXIP vs RR Match Prediction

KXIP vs RR Match Prediction: The Sportsrush presents before you the Match Prediction of 32nd match of IPL 2019.

The 32nd match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League will be played between Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals at Mohali tomorrow. Coming on the back of losing two consecutive matches, Kings XI would be eager to turn things around at their home ground – a venue where they have won three out of four matches this season.

After losing the first three matches on the trot, Royals registered a couple of victories in their next four matches. Having chased down a 188-run target against Mumbai Indians in their last match, Royals would be hoping to continue the winning momentum tomorrow.

KXIP vs RR – What numbers suggest?

In the 18 matches which have been played between Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals so far, Punjab have won only eight matches as compared to Rajasthan’s 10 wins. Out of the six matches played at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Cricket Stadium, both the teams have won three matches each.

Another stat where RR have a lead against KXIP is the average score of both teams against each other. While Punjab’s average score against Rajasthan is 161, Rajasthan’s average score against Punjab is 166.

KXIP vs RR – Paper value

On paper, Kings XI doubtlessly look better than the Royals. However, it is their inconsistency which prohibits them from playing according to their potential. In Chris Gayle, Lokesh Rahul and Mayank Agarwal, Kings XI do have a consistent top-order but it is their lower middle-order which has let them down of late.

Against Royals’ weak-looking bowling attack, expect Gayle and Rahul to register yet another handsome opening stand. That being said, Punjab’s middle-order vs Royals’ spinners will be an exciting contest.

The manner in which RR captain Ajinkya Rahane and opening batsman Jos Buttler attacked the opposition in the last match appeared first-rate for the team. While Rahane would be itching to score big, the pair holds the key for RR tomorrow.

While it is expected to be a nail-biting contest, expect Royals’ past record coming to their rescue against Kings XI tomorrow.
