Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton’s relationship has seen a lot of ups and downs ever since that dramatic 2007 season, when Hamilton was making his debut in F1.

Hamilton did not for once seem out of place in his first season in the sport, taking the attack to Alonso and being involved in a three way fight for the 2007 title.

Despite being in the same team, the duo were involved in a massive tussle on and off the track.

However, that toxicity has faded away over the years, with Alonso and Hamilton indulging in some solid banter over the years.

And this year has been a little extra special, especially towards the end, with Hamilton and Alonso showing off their bromance a little.

But nothing would compare to the Abu Dhabi GP, when the duo joked around in the press conference and then Hamilton along with Vettel gave the best ever farewell to Alonso.

Now, a day after Alonso’s retirement, when everything has sunk in a little, Hamilton has come up with a brilliant post for his ex-teammate and colleague.

“Farewell Fernando, it has been a pleasure” Hamilton said.

And Fernando did not shy away from a response, coming up with the best possible post for the 5 time world champion.

“Good luck, champ” Alonso replied.

Fans couldn’t keep calm after such a heartwarming exchange between the duo.
