Lingard on Liverpool: Jesse Lingard shined for Manchester United against Arsenal in the fourth round of the FA Cup last night.

Manchester United have been impressive under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The side cruised to their eighth consecutive victory across all competitions as they registered a 3-1 win over Arsenal last night.

Alexis Sanchez, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial were among the goalscorers as Solskjaer’s side secured a place in the next round of the FA Cup.

Jesse Lingard received praise for his performance throughout the game. He made headlines for his ‘moonwalk’ celebration after scoring the goal and trolled Arsenal in an Instagram post after the game.

However, Lingard didn’t end here. He also made an appearance on Soccer AM and issued a warning to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool ahead of their clash next month.

Lingard on Liverpool:

Manchester United will meet Liverpool at Old Trafford on February 24. In the first leg of the Premier League, Klopp’s side emerged 3-1 winners against United.

The game proved to be the final match in-charge for Jose Mourinho, as the Portuguese manager was sacked two days later.

After the win against Arsenal, Jesse Lingard is running high on confidence and issued a warning to their rivals ahead of the North-West derby.

The attacker insisted that Manchester United will secure revenge at Old Trafford.

“Our way of playing has changed,” Lingard began [via MEN]. “Next time against Liverpool? We’ll win.”

Lingard credited Solskjaer for the change in the playing style and mentality among the players at the club.

“Ole has been great since he came in. He’s given a lot of advice and he’s let us play free which has been amazing.

“Of course, football you want to play with freedom and play with that smile on your face. He’s let us do that.”

The English attacker insisted that Manchester United now plays with an attacking mindset, and believe in the philosophy of ‘you score one, we score two.’

“Attacking football, just playing the ball forward as soon as you can. Scoring as many goals as you can.

“He knows that if they score one, we’ll score two and he’s always had that mindset.”
