Lingard trolls Lukaku: The Manchester United striker’s 40-second rap video became viral on social media, and Lingard made a parody out of it.
Romelu Lukaku’s 40-second rap video became an instant sensation when it was posted on social media earlier this week.
As part of a shoot with PUMA football, Lukaku hit the recording studio with artist TheColourGrey, and the Belgian took the mic to sing a Jay-Z rap.
Unsurprisingly, the Twitterverse trolled Lukaku for the attempt.
But the fans weren’t the only section making fun of Lukaku’s rap. The Belgian forward’s teammate at Manchester United, Jesse Lingard, posted a video on Instagram, taking the p*** at Romelu Lukaku’s attempt at rapping.
Here’s how it all unfolded:
Lingard trolls Lukaku:
Romelu Lukaku hit the mic and sang a Jay-Z rap, before flunking the lyrics at the 40-second mark, after which the video ended.

Needless to say, the people on Twitter were quick to react.

A few hours later, Jesse Lingard took to Instagram to let his thoughts know about Lukaku’s rap. But Lingard, being Lingard, didn’t show it the normal way.
He donned a hood, strapped what appears to be slippers in his ears to match Lukaku’s attire, and posted a 15-second video of mimicking Lukaku’s attempt at rapping. He wrote, “Fire in the closet #theromchallenge #romelulukaku,” in the caption.
