The English national team have under performed for so long, that even their fans have become apathetic towards their once beloved football team.
The failure of the ‘Golden Generation’ has really hurt the English fans, as they feel that if they cannot win a trophy with the likes of Gerrard, Beckham, Lampard, Rooney and Terry to name just a few, then what chance do they have of winning with a less talented group of individuals.
Unfortunately for the players, the English media does them no favours, as they hype up every young English talent that wears the famous white jersey.

The likes of Walcott, Chamberlain, Wilshere, Rashfotd and now Kane are considered to be the new hero for England, as they are put under an enormous amount of pressure by media and fans alike.
Another player who has been touted as the next ‘Big Thing’, is Tottenham’s Dele Alli. The gifted midfielder has had an inconsistent season, after two wonderful seasons for the North London side.
Alli scored a brilliant 18 goals in the Premier league last season, scooping up his second PFA Young Player of the Year award in the process. While the world is talking about Mbaape as the next superstar in world football, Alli is reportedly worth 82.6 million euros, more than Mbappe.
And the Englishman has caught the attention of none other than Lionel Messi, as the Argentine is a huge fan of the versatile Alli. Messi has reportedly already made his feelings known to the Barcelona board, as he wants them to bring Alli to Camp Nou next summer.
Any deal involving Alli will be around 100 million, as Tottenham also realize the value of their promising young star. And with the World Cup just around the corner, Alli’s value will only increase this year.
