Liverpool News: Jurgen Klopp’s agent reveals why the German is having second thoughts over singing a contract extension despite enjoying so much success with the Reds.
When Jurgen Klopp joined Liverpool in 2015, the club was in shambles. Their best players were leaving at the end of every season and they were unable to attract top players to play for them. Despite being considered a big team, they were struggling to even be in the top 4 of the Premier league.

4 years later, Liverpool are now the European Champions and are home to some of the best footballers in the planet. They are easily the best team in the Premier league along with Manchester City and look good to continue this run for a few more years at least.
The players are 100% committed to play for them and no amount can sway them to swap their loyalties. Their manager however, is contemplating his future with the club and the reason is rather amusing to say the least.
UK Weather annoys Klopp
In an interview with Spox, Klopp’s agent Marc Kosicke said:
“Jurgen’s contract is still valid until 2022 and it is an open secret that the club would like to extend,”
“We still have a little time for that. We must wait and see how everything develops and whether climate change will bring better weather to England or only to Germany.
“One should not underestimate it [bad weather annoying Klopp], anyway. I remember that in November or December, Liverpool first asked for a contract extension. I said: ‘Let’s wait’.
“Ulla [Klopp’s wife] and Jurgen get up in the morning and it’s dark. When they meet again in the evening, it is also dark or it is grey and there is drizzle.
“During the winter break in Germany, if the weather is really bad, the clubs go on vacation for two weeks, then come back and fly directly to the training camp in the sun for several days.
“During this time, the coaches in England sometimes have to prepare for up to 13 games. They are already exhausted and it’s not so easy.”
Klopp has long hinted that he may retire in 2022 after his contract with Liverpool expires. Or at least take a break from the game. He has however, made it clear that he intends to honor his contract and stay for the entirety of its duration just as he has done previously with both Mainz and Borussia Dortmund.
