FC Barcelona clinched their La Liga title following a 1-0 win over Levante at Nou Camp on Saturday. The Blaugrana have been breezing past opponents and they will face a severe test against Liverpool, who are looking threatening to their hopes of lifting the Champions League. Having already qualified for the Copa Del Rey finals, Ernesto Valverde’s side are desperate to complete a treble in his managerial career for the first time. They beat Lyon and Manchester United in the previous rounds to qualify for the last four of the Champions League.
Liverpool struggled to find their old mojo during the kickstart of this year, but they have built their game with patience and build the momentum. Jurgen Klopp’s side have won ten games on a bounce as they enter the crucial phase of the season which would determine their achievements this campaign. They do not have the destiny in their hands for the Premier League and will be raring to come out on top against FC Barcelona in the European competition. They beat Bayern Munich and FC Porto in the knockout rounds to progress to the Semifinals.

The presence of their striker Roberto Firmino is not yet known, but rumours are circulating that the Brazilian’s inclusion in the squad for the away trip to Barcelona after suffering a small tear in his groin. The Liverpool forward is hoping to train and prove his fitness ahead of the titanic clash.
Fabinho, who suffered a head injury when he was in action against Cardiff City was forced to sit out on Friday night at Anfield. The midfielder is expected to be reinstated in the squad, although his inclusion in the starting lineup is questionable.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Naby Keita will be pushed down to the bench by James Milner, whilst Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum are anticipated to keep their place in the starting lineup.
