Liverpool Vs Barcelona: Jurgen Klopp gives his verdict on how to stop Lionel Messi
Jurgen Klopp has given his verdict on how to stop Lionel Messi.
Liverpool will face off Barcelona in the Semifinals of the Champions League. The first leg will be held at Nou Camp and the second leg will take place at Anfield in the forthcoming weeks.
The Reds were not thoroughly dominant in the game, but bagged four goals through their front three including Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and the record signing Virgil Van Dijk to finish off a resounding scoreline. Even though it was not a fair reflection off the game, the Reds converted every single chance which fell at them.
On the other hand, Barcelona beat Manchester United 4-0 on aggregate to face Jurgen Klopp’s men in the last four of the competition. Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho will head back to Anfield for the first time since they moved to Barcelona.
After the 6-1 aggregate victory over Porto, Jurgen Klopp was asked how he would deal with Lionel Messi during the two-legged tie. The Liverpool boss said that he has sufficient time to think about that matter as they prepare to battle out for the Premier League and Champions League.
“Thank God I don’t have to think about that tonight. I have a few nights. No one has so far managed it, but we will try. We have a few jobs before that.” said Klopp when he was asked about Lionel Messi.

It will not be easy for Barcelona as well. The Spanish outfit have to face the famous trio of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, and Sadio Mane who found their name on the score sheet against FC Porto in the second leg. It will be an interesting game as both the sides chase glory hoping to end their Champions League drought this May.
At the other side, Ajax will play Tottenham Hotspur in another semifinal.
