Liverpool registered a whopping 5-0 win over the bottom-placed Huddersfield and have regained the top spot in the Premier League.
Two goals each from Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah and an early strike from Naby Keita secured a 5-0 routing of Huddersfield at Anfield.
Keita scored within merely 15 seconds from kick-off, which was the quickest Premier League goal ever by a Liverpool player.
Sadio Mane soon doubled the lead for Klopp’s side, while Salah scored his first of the game at the brink of halftime, as he lobbed the ball over Huddersfield’s goalkeeper.
Liverpool’s domination continued in the second half as Mane and Salah scored one goal each to gain three points at Anfield. The game also saw the return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after 12 months, after being sidelined with cruciate and ligament injuries.

Best CB in the league, best fullback pairing in the league. The way Liverpool completely turned around their defence is staggering.
I beg you Chelsea, bring in Reece James and spend big in the market.

Gorgeous pass from @trentaa98 and a tidy little finish from @MoSalah. If Liverpool can bag another 5 goals in the 2nd half they’ll have the same goal difference as Manchester City.

Whatever happens now, Liverpool will finish 2018/19 with the highest points-per-game average in their top flight history.
(Using 3 points per win for all seasons).
The Reds. The mighty Reds.

If this was his first season at Liverpool and Mohamed Salah had hit 19 goals (at time of Team of the Year selection) he would have been picked. He’s a victim of his own success from last season.

Liverpool’s 2018-19 defence now four PL assists behind Man Utd’s 1998-99 midfield with two games to go.
