Liverpool Vs Tottenham: Jurgen Klopp receives massive boost ahead of Champions League final

Liverpool Vs Tottenham: Jurgen Klopp has received as massive boost as Roberto Firmino with trained with rest of his teammates.

Liverpool will take on the Champions League finals against Tottenham Hotspur at Wanda Metropolitano on June 1. The Reds lost their last European final to the record holders Real Madrid, and would want to put things back on track. The club has not won a major trophy for six years and Jurgen Klopp wants to end that drought.

There were some fears here and now for both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. The Reds were without Roberto Firmino for four out of the last five games in all competitions due to groin injury. The 27-year-old rarely suffers injuries, but he was stranded with total pain during the first leg against FC Barcelona in the previous round. He came on a substitute, but could not have any impact because of the lack of match fitness.

The Brazilian has recovered in time as he trains with the first team squad ahead of the Champions League finals after Liverpool confirmed it with a statement. Firmino, a huge fan favourite, posted videos of him training with Liverpool’s physio before the team headed to Marbella for the training camp yesterday.

Liverpool released a statement stating the same,

“The Brazilian took part in the Reds’ first session of their Marbella training camp on Tuesday morning as he works his way back to full fitness.

Firmino has been working with the club’s medical staff on his rehabilitation from the issue and his reintroduction into full team training will be carefully managed under their supervision, with specialised programmes planned over the coming days.”

Naby Keita is also part of 26-man squad list for a training setup based in Marbella. The Guinean International picked up an injury against FC Barcelona and will continue his rehabilitation process with his club.

Here’s how Twitter reacted..

What’s next?

Roberto Firmino has scored twice against Tottenham Hotspur this season and his presence will be crucial for Liverpool. The Brazilian is integral to Jurgen Klopp’s plans and the German manager will be ecstatic to welcome him back.
