Aaron Finch, following his exploits in the triangular series, is now the World No. 1 T20I batsman, while Fakhar Zaman is ranked second. Zaman played a crucial role in the series victory for Pakistan, and Aaron Finch even called him the “thorn in our side” after his innings in the final snatched the series from Australia.
Lokesh Rahul also reaped the benefits of his impressive display against England, which included a century in the first T20I of the series. He is ranked third in the T20I rankings.
Even when Virat Kohli played supporting roles in the second and third T20Is, his T20I rankings bore the brunt of his lack of big innings. He is now out of the top-10 in the rankings. Kohli has fallen to 12th position, while Rohit Sharma climbs to 11th, after his match-winning hundred in the series decider.
Shikhar Dhawan is 23rd, Raina 42nd, and Manish Pandey is ranked 43rd. MS Dhoni has also dropped to 52nd position.
