Luis Suarez couldn’t break his goalless streak in Champions League away games, but wrongly claimed a foul against Lyon.
Barcelona were held to a goalless draw by Lyon in the first leg of the round-of-16 clash in the Champions League.
The French side held the fort as they denied Barcelona an opportunity to score throughout the game.
Luis Suarez’s goalless streak in away games in the tournament continued last night. The former Liverpool striker has not scored in an away Champions League game since 2015. Throughout this period, he has played in 16 away matches.
The striker was also involved in a rather embarrassing incident during the game. He went down and claimed a foul after being hit by a ball.

24h – As of the 22nd minute of tonight’s game against Lyon, Luis Suarez has gone a full day of game time (1440 minutes) without scoring away from home in the Champions League, last netting against Roma in September 2015. Strange. pic.twitter.com/7mzz0w03AO

Luis Suárez in the #ChampionsLeague
4 goals in his last 25 games
1 goal in his last 15 games
0 goals this season
16 games without an away goalIf this was Benzema, he wouldn’t even be allowed to show his face in public. The press would have helped ship him out.

When it comes to Luis Suarez he operates at the extreme ends of the scale: either the best striker in the world or the best donkey, no in between.
