Luis Suarez injury news: Barcelona has confirmed that Luis Suarez has begun his treatment for a knee injury.

“FC Barcelona’s Luis Suárez has discomfort in his right knee, the Club announced on Monday. In the coming days, Suárez will do individual strength and preventive work at the Ciutat Esportiva. His progress will determine his availability,” the statement read.

The Uruguayan international has already opted out of national duty to the birth of his third child. Uruguay are scheduled to play Japan and South Korea in the international break this week.

Suarez has suffered with lack of form ever since the season began. The striker has only scored 3 goals in 11 matches for Barcelona this season. He is yet to open his account in the Champions League this season.
