Presently, Manchester United reportedly is interested in landing Alex Telles to the Old Trafford, but Telles has confessed that despite the rumoured to the Premier League club are lucrative, he is not distracted by the reports.
“I’m a guy who focuses a lot on work, people believe what they want, say what they want in the newspapers, but the most important thing is to be focused on my work,” Telles told Sport TV.
“You know that and so do my teammates, whatever happens, I’m focused on the club, I’m here, I’m playing.” When further pressed on the issue Telles reiterated his commitment to Porto and refused to reveal how close he might be to an exit.
He added: “I have people who work for me, I just have to focus on what my job is. If I knew anything, I wouldn’t need to have people working for me. I have people who take care of that and I have to focus on my work.”
Manchester United failing to add quality players
Manchester United was tipped to sign Jadon Sancho in this summer, but the Red Devils backed out of the negotiations after failing to meet the demands of Borussia Dortmund.
That transfer can still be done in coming weeks, if Manchester United fall in the line as per the German club, with Sancho willing to join Solskjaer’s squad.
But at the same time, he doesn’t want to rebel against his current club and will only go if they give the green light. Meanwhile, Manchester United has only signed one player this season in Donny van de Beek.
A quality addition, but rival clubs Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea have done better business this summer.
