‘The time has come for United to win more trophies’ – Alexis Sanchez
Manchester United may have had a poor transfer window, but Alexis Sanchez insists that the club is ready for the new season.
The Chilean international signed for Manchester United in the January transfer window from Arsenal. He initially struggled at the club as United finished the season trophyless. However, Alexis Sanchez insists that he is prepared to fight for everything.
In an exclusive interview with United Review, Alexis Sanchez stated that the first season was a learning experience. “The first four or five months were a learning period. Now I want to go all the way, I want to fight for everything,” said the Chilean.
“I am preparing myself mentally and physically to face all that lies ahead,” Sanchez added.
The United number-7 also insisted that the club needs to win trophies. “Now that I know my team-mates, I can focus on what I want to win. I am here to demonstrate the quality I’m here for. The time has come for United to win more trophies. We need to be fighting among the best,” said Sanchez.

When asked about how Manchester United should approach the game against Leicester, the Chilean convincingly stated, “As Manchester United… as a big team.”
“United is a big team. Even though we have improved a lot, we need to keep improving. Now it is time to prove it, to fight for the top spots, and I think this is the season to do it,” Sanchez added.
Manchester United will begin their Premier League season later this evening when they take on Leicester City at Old Trafford.
