Tottenham were vying with Manchester United to hire the services of Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon this summer. The French club was ready to transfer the player but designated a demanding price for the player.

In recent advancements, according to a report by the SkySports, Tottenham have agreed a personal agreement with the French midfielder and are about to organize his medical soon.

The report further states that the 22-year-old midfielder has signed a five-year deal with the club after negotiating a personal agreement with the London based club.

It seems, with nothing spent by Tottenham in the last two windows, the Lilywhites are set to make a mammoth deal with Lyon soon. Recently, Lyon admitted that Ndombele is looking a move out of the the club, and the French club was ready to listen to the offers.

On the other hand, Manchester United missed out on the player because of uncertainty around Paul Pogba’s future in the club. the Red Devils could not take a binding decision.

Moreover, Manchester United’s £100 million transfer pool would have been drastically minimized, if hierarchy at the club would have chosen Ndombele with areas to fill.
