Marcus Rashford has sent a big message to the Manchester United fans ahead of the high-voltage clash against Manchester City in the league.
Manchester United will take on Manchester City in a thrilling Premier League clash on Wednesday night.
Solskjaer’s side have been struggling for quite some time. United have lost six of their last eight games, as they faced defeats in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup and the Champions League.
Manchester United also slipped to the sixth position in the league table. Moreover, the side faced a stunning 4-0 loss to Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday.
Justifiably, the players have been under intense pressure to step up for the Manchester derby. Solskjaer used strong words after the loss to Everton, but insisted that the games against Manchester City and Chelsea are a perfect opportunity to make amends.
Manchester United’s youngster Marcus Rashford has also spoken ahead of the game against City, and sent a message to the fans.
Marcus Rashford’s message:
The forward stated that the emotions will be high for the game and the side will try its best to put their previous disappointments behind as they take on Pep Guardiola’s men.
“United versus City and United versus Liverpool mean the most to every United player and every United fan,” Rashford told United Review.
“But, as a player, you have to understand that every game in the league is for three points and, whether you’re playing against Everton or Chelsea, they all have the exact same importance as when you play City or Liverpool. It’s the emotions which are a bit different.
“I know the fans are always emotionally attached to this game, like we are, and I’d just say always keep that feeling and we’ll do our best to get the three points.”
Marcus Rashford has also struggled to put impressive performances of late, and has been under severe criticism for his finishing and free-kick abilities. The English youngster would aim to step up with the rest of the side against Man City.

Marcus Rashford’s record from free-kicks for Manchester United:
Total attempts: 36
Goals: 3
Conversion Rate: 8.3%Yet every time someone is fouled outside the box, he’s the first player to take the ball and lines it up like he’s about to do a Cristiano against Portsmouth. 😂 pic.twitter.com/fXchWEvBfT

It’s mad it’s taken people so long to criticise Rashford. He’s been poor in his finishing, his work rate, his set pieces and his decision making for quite some time now. Lukaku misses one chance and gets villified. Rashford simply has to do more and shouldn’t get a free pass.
