Man Utd news: The Red Devils are close to sign Daniel James from Swansea

Man Utd news: The Red Devils are close to sign Daniel James from Swansea as Ole Solskjaer is looking for new reinforcements.

Manchester United is close to agreeing a deal with Swansea City to sign the 21-year-old winger in order to bolster their squad this summer.

According to SkySports, the club is set to pay £15 million for the Welsh forward. This season, James has performed exceptionally for Swansea City in the Championship by amassing 4 goals and 7 assists across 33 matches.

Whereas, Solskjaer in a pre-match interview to SkySports refused to speak directly about the Welsh player but said he wants to sign young players who can last at the Old Trafford for many years as Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney did.

The Manchester United manager has made no secrets about his transfer aspirations and admitted that the club will be vying for quality players this summer.

The Red Devils had an underwhelming season as they are about to finish sixth in the Premier league. The club’s resources upfront did not capitalize their chances, which resulted in several defeats.

Thus, making the 21-year-old player a viable target for Manchester United. Moreover, ex-Red Devils’ player Ryan Giggs is an admirer of the young player and has praised the talent of James.

It seems that Manchester United are looking for long-term benefits by signing the young player and believe in the potential of the youngster. Although, various other English clubs are also interested in the 21-year-old player, thus Manchester United needs to secure the deal soon.
