Man Utd team news: Ole Solskjaer provides update on David De Gea availibilty Vs Huddersfield

Man Utd team news: Solskjaer provides update on David De Gea availability prior to match against Terreirs on Sunday.

The Manchester United manager today during the press conference gave an update that David De Gea will start the league match against Huddersfield on Sunday. Solskjaer with this, ended the speculations of dropping the Spanish international due to latter’s recent poor form.

De Gea who won four Manchester United player of the season awards in his five seasons with the club has failed to deliver this season. His poor performances against Chelsea and Barcelona forced fans to criticize him.

Despite the high profile mistakes by the 28-year-old goalkeeper, De Gea is will start on Sunday as his deputy Sergi Romero is unfit after picking a knee injury in training session.

“David’s confident and looking forward to the next two games, he wants to prove how good a goalkeeper he is. The performances over the years, David’s got all my confidence.” said Ole Solskjaer in press conference.

Solskjaer has been supportive of the Spanish international throughout his poor form. However on this match-day, De Gea getting dropped was a huge possibility but Romero’s injury prevented it.

“David has been fantastic this season,” Solskjaer added. “Towards the end he’s been in headlines for the wrong reasons but he has to deal with that. The goalkeeping department has experienced better times than just now but David is ready for Sunday.” Solskjaer further said.

Manchester United have won only two games out of their last eight premier league matches. Thus, leaving them three points behind top four with two games remaining.

What’s next for Manchester United?

The Red Devils’ only motivation to compete in this season is their slight possibility of ending into the top 4 with two games remaining. On the other hand, Solskjaer would be looking at new reinforcements for achieving some success next season.
