Wow, things can get really petty in the world of football!

While Neymar and Cavani seemed to be in real harmony just a few weeks ago, things have suddenly soured between the pair. The issue started a couple of matches ago, when PSG were awarded a penalty by the referee.

While Neymar wanted to take the spot kick, Cavani refused to budge as he did not want the Brazilian to take over his spot. As Neymar walked away in disgust, Cavani looked pretty smug about his little power play, until he failed to score from the penalty.

After the match, there were many reports which said that Neymar and Cavani almost came to blows in the dressing room and had to be separated by club captain Thiago Silva.

The PSG manager, Emery also said that Cavani will be their penalty taker for season and he hopes that both parties could sort things out for themselves.

Now the PSG President, Nasser Al-Khelaifi has also tried to step in and offer 1 million euros to Cavani in an attempt to dissuade him from penalty taking duties.

Apparently there is a royalty clause of 1 million in Cavani’s contract, which he will receive only if he becomes the top scorer.

When Nasser told this to Neymar, the Brazilian was immensely frustrated and angry. He believed that he would be getting the sort of treatment at PSG that Messi got at Barcelona. But Cavani’s stance has made things complicate for Neymar!

Interesting times are in store at the ambitious club!
