Man Utd transfer news: Christian Eriksen close to agreeing a deal with Manchester United as the summer transfer window nears its end.
Manchester United have had a subdued transfer season so far. They’ve made a world record transfer in Harry Maguire and two exciting ones in Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James. However, this pales in comparison to what Solksjaer promised at the end of last campaign when he suggested that Old Trafford would witness an overhaul in the summer.

United have been linked with several player and looked to add a number of players. However, things didn’t pan out the way Solskjaer had hoped. The Red Devils were overcharged for almost every player they showed any interest in. Bruno Fernandes and Paulo Dybala seemed to be the ones most likely to join them this summer. As things stand at the moment, neither of the two stand a chance anymore.

United are unwilling to shell out the price Sporting Lisbon are demanding or kneel to the exorbitant demands of Paulo Dybala. In such a situation, they are now looking at Tottenham star Christian Eriksen once again.

AS have reported that Manchester United have offered Christian Eriksen a 5-year contract. The deal will see him earn a salary equaling Paul Pogba’s. The Danish playmaker is seriously contemplating the offer. They have reported that Eriksen is ‘convinced’ by United’s rebuild under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who first proposed the signing to the Old Trafford hierarchy in March.

Christian Eriksen unlikely to renew his contract with Tottenham. They will therefore, look to make some money out of him rather than see him leave on a free. To that end, they are demanding £60 million for Eriksen. Unlike Bruno Fernandes, Eriksen is a proven commodity in the EPL. In fact, he was involved in 27 goals last season. Scoring 10 and bagging 17 assists in 51 appearance for Spurs.
