Jadon Sancho has spoken about his Borussia Dortmund future after failing to lift the Bundesliga title.
Manchester United’s transfer plans could take a hit in the summer window after the failure to land Champions League football. The Red Devils are aiming to stabilize the club, and rightfully so, Solskjaer views the current job as a long-term project.
There are various players who might leave the club, but the Norwegian has been vocal about his plans to lure in many fresh faces. Manchester United target Jadon Sancho, who has been fantastic this season, has spoken about his desire to lift the Bundesliga title with Borussia Dortmund in the upcoming season.
Albeit beating Borussia Monchengladbach, the yellows were able to finish two points below the Bavarians in the league table. It will be a tough pill to swallow, but things can be on track as Lucien Favre will make signings in the window.
Sancho scored 12 goals and tallied a league-leading 14 assists in 34 Bundesliga appearances, while he impressed on his England debut to attract interest from abroad.
“I’m really happy with how I played this season,” Sancho told reporters after Dortmund’s 2-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach.
“I never knew it was going to be like this. From the start I wasn’t really playing often, but then I started playing often later in the season. It was all about hard work.
“The team helped me and the coach has faith me in me and I’m thankful. Next season we’ll be targeting the win, not to come second.”
It will come as a blow for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who wanted to install youth policy in the club. Jadon Sancho has world-class potential and missing out on his signature might prove to be costly.
Manchester United are preparing to replace their goalkeeper David De Gea. The Spanish International’s contract ends next summer and the Red Devils’ bid worth 35 million have been turned down by Ajax. It is believed that the club bid for the Cameroonian International, Andre Onana.

By me and @JackPittBrooke: United’s hopes of signing Sancho are collapsing because the player and his camp are concerned about the state of the teamhttps://t.co/AiZvFd5Gig

Jadon Sancho will now not be going to Manchester United this summer, as reported elsewhere. Not the right environment for him. By me and @MiguelDelaney https://t.co/6cCO8kd4zv
