Man Utd Transfer News: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer drops hint on Odion Ighalo’s Manchester United future after performance against Lask in the Europa League.
Odion Ighalo’s loan move to Manchester United from Chinese outfit Shanghai Shenhua in January was met with scepticism from all quarters. However, in the time since, he has been on a mission to change opinions regarding his move.

He has scored 4 goals in 3 starts including a stunner during their Europa League match against Lask on Thursday evening. More importantly, he has allowed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to rotate his squad and give much needed rest to Anthony Martial.

Odion Ighalo’s move to the club he supported as a child doesn’t include an option to buy. However, he is currently averaging a direct goal contribution every 64 minutes. This level of involvement has prompted Solskjaer to reconsider the Nigerian forward’s future at the club.
🗣”He doesn’t worry about all that nonsense build-up play, that’s a joke obviously”

“Odion has done really well since he came in and he’s enjoying himself,” Solskjaer said after the match.
“And he will improve and get better but he has qualities we saw in him and we needed and we will still need those qualities for next season, so let’s see what we will do.
“He’s a goalscorer and a striker, he doesn’t worry too much about all that nonsense; build-up play – that’s a joke, obviously.
“He knows his job and what his role in the team is, and he’s very good with his back to goal. Great link player, but maybe the best thing about him is his personality, so he’s got the whole lot really.
“He had three touches before his fourth was the finish. All them touches were high quality but he had to make them to create space for himself.
“But the strike is on the half-volley. Great timing, no one would have saved that one. So anyone would have been proud of that finish.”
With the Premier League now suspended until April 3 and all European Ties from due next week called off, it is unlikely that we will see Ighalo in action for a while. However, he seems to have presented a good case for himself to permanently become a member of Manchester United this summer.
