Kieran Tripper has confirmed that he will talk to Mauricio Pochettino in the preseason to clarify about his future.

Manchester United are wanting an upgrade through the right defensive flank. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has Ashley Young and Diogo Dalot through the right-back position, and it is a no-brainer to bring in an upgrade.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Keiran Tripper is reportedly in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s wishlist. The 28-year-old was part of the Spurs side which lost to Liverpool 2-0 in the Champions League final on Saturday. The reason for Trippier’s inclusion is that Serge Aurier would be a downgrade. The Ivorian was signed to push Trippier, but Aurier has himself regressed at London.

Mauricio Pochettino will be keeping an eye on potential replacements for the next season. That position requires upgradation which would see Tripper leave the club.

The former Burnley defender has been linked with Napoli and Atletico Madrid, but Trippier has assured that he would like to stay put at England rather than moving abroad.

“I want to stay in England, but what can you do? I’ll see what happens, and what the club wants, most importantly,” said Trippier.

He has said that he would speak with Mauricio Pochettino in the pre-season to get much-needed clarity for the next season.

“I give everything for this club in training sessions, games. I don’t know [if I will be at Spurs next season]. I’ll go home now, spend time with my family and just recover after a long, difficult season.

“Everybody’s got a decision to make. Obviously, this club has been very good for me over the last few years, but I’ll enjoy my summer, come back in pre-season and that’s when I’ll sit down with the manager and have a talk about my future. I see a lot of speculation about me not being here.”

Manchester United are expected to spend in the summer transfer window. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bring back the supremacy, but has admitted that time would be required to clean up some players from the club. It will be an interesting summer as revamp is expected at Old Trafford.
