Man Utd Transfer News: Solskjaer forced to battle out with foreign club after demand refusal for Daniel James transfer

Swansea City winger Daniel James is attracting intense from the Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco.

Manchester United’s hopes of landing Swansea City’s Daniel James is in sudden danger after intense interest from AS Monaco. The English outfit were alleged to have agreed on a 15 million deal with the Championship club, but talks have not been progressive over the last few days since the news broke out.

The Welshman has paired up with his teammates for their Euro 2020 qualifiers with Croatia and Hungary. However, Evening Standard reports that United and Swansea have been locked up in negotiations, with a sticking price between the two clubs evaluation for the 21-year-old.

United are looking to land him for a fee of 10 million, whilst Swansea are looking to recoup at least double the amount despite James’ entering his final year in his deal. United are forcing the issue to lure him to Old Trafford after learning the intention from AS Monaco, who have made initial contact with the club.

The French outfit are ready to match Swansea’s demands and the player is looking for a proper development – which might happen under the guidance of Leonardo Jardim.

There is no doubt that the Red Devils are looking for a new right winger. Daniel James fits the bill despite not having enough experience at the top level. As he is just 21, James has room for development and Solskjaer has already implied his stance to buy ‘British and young’ players in the summer transfer window.

It will be an interesting call on the youngster, who looks certain to leave Swansea City albeit the club’s intention to hold and tie him down to a new contract. Leeds United, and Brighton and Hove Albion are also having an eye on this situation.

Here’s how Twitter has reacted..
