Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: Manchester United manager to complete his first signing | Man Utd Transfer News

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: Manchester United are set to complete the signing of Swansea City’s Daniel James.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spoke about the importance of incomings to tinker the squad. The Red Devils have not qualified for the Champions League and expect some of their stars to leave in the summer transfer window. Their departure is mainly down to their ridiculous demands which the club will fail to match.

The Norwegian wants to install youth philosophy at Old Trafford, and a move for Swansea City’s Daniel James has been made. The Wales International has agreed on personal terms with the Premier League club, but both the clubs are yet to compromise on a transfer fee. Even though he is linked with a potential transfer fee of 15 million pounds, it is yet to be learned if that amount would be sufficient to land him, according to Sky Sports.

The Wales International has been a high revelation in the Championship and has earned enough adulation across the United Kingdom. The 21-year-old has room for improvement, having scored four goals and assisted seven times this campaign. He operates through the right wing, a position which has been in shambles for a long time after the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson.

His signing might not excite many Old Trafford faithful, but he is one of the pickout from the Championship this season. If he discovers the same form in the Premier League, it would be very tough for the opponents to cope up.

Former Swansea boss Graham Potter moved to Brighton and Hove Albion. Instantly, there was an interest from James’ former boss, but he is allegedly to have turned down an offer to secure a move to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window.

Manchester United had a 110 million bid rejected by Napoli for Kalidou Koulibaly. The club is looking to upgrade their squad in the fear of avoiding further misery. A full-back and defensive midfielder are in the priority list for the Red Devils.

What’s next?

This could just be the start of the spending spree at Manchester United. They look to regain superiority after missing out on the Champions League last season.
