Man Utd Transfer News: Solskjaer, Klopp and Pep dealt with huge blow as European star opts for Tottenham move

Manchester United have been dealt with a huge blow as Bruno Fernandes opts to join Tottenham Hotspur.

Bruno Fernandes is one of the hottest prospects available for grabs in the summer transfer window. The Portuguese International captained Sporting CP last season and carried them in the midfield department.

The 24-year-old’s output in the final third is nothing short of remarkable having contributed nearly 40 goals from the middle of the park. The midfielder has scored 26 goals and has 13 assists in all competitions this season, thereby attracting interest from European heavyweights.

Manchester United, Liverpool, and Manchester City have all made enquiries for the midfielder, but the Portuguese publication named Report quote that Tottenham Hotspur are in a firm position to win the race. The talks with the Portuguese outfit have intensified in recent hours and Spurs are ready to pay 70 million to land him in this window.

Bruno’s agent, Pinho, has been travelling to and fro between England and Portugal to discuss the potential transfer with the suitors. The report say that Mauricio Pochettino is willing to spend €70 million, the amount demanded by Sporting CP.

Despite Spurs’ intensified talks, the race isn’t over yet, with Liverpool and Manchester United lurking to land him. However, those clubs are ‘at a disadvantage as Spurs have already registered their stance’.

Christian Eriksen confirmed that he would be open to moving away from England for a new adventure. The required amount to lure him away from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is set to be around £130 million, although an amount around £70 million should suffice. Real Madrid are seeing him as a possible alternate for Paul Pogba, whereas Inter Milan are the other side to look at envy at him. With Antonio Conte at the helm, things will change at San Siro.

Spurs will be desiring to challenge for the Premier League title and sit alongside Liverpool and Manchester City, who looked a level above the rest in the league.

Here’s how Twitter has reacted..

What’s next?

It will be a huge battle between these three clubs, although Spurs sit in the driving seat currently to land him.
