Man Utd vs Burnley Twitter reactions: Manchester United scored two late goals as they came from 0-2 down to secure a point at Old Trafford.
Manchester United came from behind to secure a 2-2 draw against Burnley at Old Trafford.
The side’s performance was underwhelming tonight as Solskjaer made significant changes in the starting XI. While Andreas Pereira replaced Ander Herrera, Romelu Lukaku was given the central role in the place of Marcus Rashford, who played on the wings.
However, a mistake from Pereira cost United a goal and Burnley doubled the lead a few minutes later.
Manchester United, however, made a strong comeback as a foul on Jesse Lingard resulted in a penalty. Paul Pogba scored from the spot-kick, while Victor Lindelof scored an injury-time equalizer.
With this draw, United are now two points behind Arsenal who defeated Cardiff City in another league clash earlier tonight.
Here’s how Twitter reacted:
Frantic second half at Old Trafford. United looked dead and buried at 2-0 before coming back. Looked so much better with Rashford up front. Thought Ashley Young was good.

We obviously have to rotate but we don’t have squad players good enough to fill in. We don’t have a replacement for Herreras tenacity in midfield. Starting Lukaku changes our whole attacking outlet because he doesnt fucking run. Much better with Rashford/Martial upfront.

Annoying two points to drop but the comeback was a buzz and won’t do team spirit and belief any harm. Lessons to hopefully be learned from the way things went before that

I love Juan Mata, but he should never ever start a game ahead of Jesse Lingard on the right, happy to see some fighting spirit from the team to claw back the game to a draw, the defence needs to be bolstered in the summer, hell bring someone in now before the window ends.

Ole time!
Great spirit to fight back but the selection changes let us down today.
Lukaku not good enough. Pereira not good enough. Rashford didn’t look the same out wide.

Great comeback. Pity Liverpool have won the league tonight.

Paul Pogba has now scored nine Premier League goals this season, the most league goals he has ever netted in a single top-flight campaign.
Six of those have come under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. 🙃 pic.twitter.com/ZH3bLflqZW

10 – Since Solskjaer debut on Man Utd bench in December, Paul Pogba has been involved in 10 goals in Premier League (6 goals, 4 assists) – it’s more than any other player in the top 5 leagues. Phenomenal 🔥. @paulpogba @ManUtd pic.twitter.com/wbTmwkyaGu

Points at FT:
– Great spirit from Utd to come back from 0-2 on 80 mins
– Three consecutive home draws vs Burnley
– Tired movement in final 3rd for the most part
– Pereira has a stinker, Mata/Lukaku poor too
– A game like this was inevitable
– Lindelof and Pogba were 👌 pic.twitter.com/mne8f8aLWO— The Peoples Person (@PeoplesPerson_) January 29, 2019
Wow. @ManUtd have come back to 2-2 in Ole Gunnar time. Not got quite the same ring to it…
