Manchester United Injury Updates: Ole Solskjaer gives updates on players availability ahead of Arsenal clash

Manchester United Injury Updates: Ole Solskjaer gives updates on availability of players ahead of the clash against Arsenal on Monday night.

Manchester United is marred with injuries, as several key players have been ruled out to make appearances in upcoming clashes.

Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial were declared unfit after the international break. Whereas, Marcus Rashford was declared got injured against West Ham, and is set to miss the gamer against Arsenal.

Thus, Manchester United could be without Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford for their Premier League fixture against Arsenal.

Luke Shaw (hamstring) has resumed full training and will be assessed before the Monday night encounter. Phil Jones and long-term absentee Eric Bailly are out.

“Er… not really!” Solskjaer said when asked if he had any positive team news. “Luke’s back in training today, so let’s see how he is. He’s getting there so let’s see how he reacts the next couple of days. He’s been working really hard, so we hope to see him before the international break. Maybe Monday, but not too sure.

“Rashford and Martial? I wouldn’t put my life on it but that’s part of this game, you work with what you have and we’re looking forward to this game.”

With Pogba, Rashford and Martial out of the game, Manchester United midfield will remain similar to the last game-week. Thus, Mason Greenwood will probably replace Rashford up front.

“It might be,” Solskjaer said when asked if Greenwood could retain his place. “Because he’s proven when he’s been on the pitch, in the last two games he started against Astana and Rochdale, when you get him in the box he’s dangerous.”

“Rashford and Martial? I wouldn’t put my life on it but that’s part of this game, you work with what you have and we’re looking forward to this game.”

Therefore, it seems the Red Devils will have a tough outing against Arsenal at the Old Trafford on Monday night, as the Premier League moves to the 7th game-week.
