The Old Trafford club was close to sign Ivan Perisic last summer, and are set to chase the Croatian star again.
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is planning a £92 million spending spree in the summer for a midfielder duo. Croatian stars Ivan Perisic and Ante Rebic have been debited with interest from the Red Devils.
Croatia made a historic surge to finish runners up in the FIFA World Cup, and also notably claimed scalps of Argentina and England- two pre-tournament favourites. The attacking pair starred like the rest of their team and have a chance to play for one of the world’s biggest clubs.
Ivan Perisic has been on United’s radar since a year now. In summer 2017, the Inter Milan midfielder left Mourinho baffling after he rejected a move to the Old Trafford.
However, negotiations are getting to a better stage than before and United have re-ignited their interest in the 29 year old. Perisic’s signing is expected to cost Ed Woodward a fortune of £48 million.

On the other hand, Ante Rebic is also seeking attention from the European superpowers. Currently on the books of Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, Rebic is also on United’s radar like his national teammate.
The 24 year old scored a stunning volley against Argentina and could get £44 million for the Frankfurters if they choose to sell him.
Manchester United have already been busy in the transfer window so far and completed three signings. Those include Brazilian midfielder Fred, Portuguese youngster Diogo Dalot and former Stoke goalkeeper Lee Grant. These three men cost the Red Devils an estimated £75 million.
The Premier League’s second placed team of last season meanwhile has already jetted off to Los Angeles to prepare for their friendlies later this month. On the other hand, the club’s board of directors is looking to complete the signings that Mourinho has demanded before it’s too late.
