Bruno Fernandes to Manchester United

Manchester United have scheduled a meeting with the representatives of Bruno Fernandes.

Manchester United are planning to make some changes in the summer transfer market. The English outfit have been getting results in recent weeks, but the lack of sufficient quality to challenge for the Premier League title is huge.

In order to make themselves a name in the English top flight football again, they will be raring to add more quality players to their rosters after the conclusion of this season. The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Kalidou Koulibaly, but it remains to be seen if they would not face stiff competition from the likes of Real Madrid or Barcelona.

There were several reports quoting that Manchester United are looking to add new faces in all three departments. The requirement is understood to be a center-back, midfielder, and a versatile attacker.

According to the Portuguese publication A Bola, the Red Devils have met the representatives of Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes in order to fasten up the transfer rather than shelling out a huge sum on him.

The report claims that the release clause of the midfield is 100 million euros, whilst the club would be willing to do business should a buyer bid more than 60 million in the forthcoming summer window.

Sporting Lisbon are currently going through as a rough patch as the club are currently in 100 million debt which might force the Portuguese outfit to listen to offers for some of their biggest stars in the club.

Liverpool and AC Milan are the other sides to register interested on the midfielder, but Manchester United are quick to wrap the deal before it’s too long.

Brazilian Fred has not shined for the club, whilst the likes of Scott McTominay and Andreas Periera are expected to head into the exit door if a suitable offer is placed on the table.

Ander Herrera is yet to extend his contract with the club which expires after this season. But, that does not correlate with the potential arrival of Bruno Fernandes who operates in an attacking midfield position.

A lot will depend on the arrival of the new manager. It will be interesting to see how they would take decisions in the summer window as they tend to do good business in the transfer window.
