Manchester United star Fred aims to win the Champions League next season while speaking about European qualification ahead of Leicester clash.
Manchester United is set to battle for their Champions League spot against Leicester City, as they are set to meet the Foxes in the final game-week of the Premier League.
The Brazilian International claimed that his club deserves a spot in Europe’s elite competition, and believes that it is a realistic target for them to aim for the silverware.
“As a club, we should be in the Champions League every year as we’re a massive club,“ Fred told the United’s official website. “So to be back in the Champions League is really important for us players, it’s also important for the club.
“It’s what the players and the club deserve. It will be great to be back in the Champions League next season and we will look to win.” he further said.
Manchester United battle for top 4
Manchester United is in a triple-threat challenge along with Leicester City and Chelsea, with both Chelsea and Manchester United having 63 points after 37 games while Leicester City only a point down.
Manchester United’s defeat will be fatal for Chelsea if Frank Lampard fails to pick a point against Wolves, as the Blues will end 5th in the table even though they have same points as Manchester United, but will rank lower on goal difference.
On the other hand, even Manchester United can’t risk having a defeat, considering Chelsea wins, both Leicester City and Chelsea will step into the Champions League, while Manchester United then have to rely on Europa League triumph to qualify for the competition.
