Manchester United Transfer News: Ole Solskjaer ready to offer £90 million to Leicester City to land Harry Maguire at the Old Trafford.
Manchester United need massive defensive reinforcements, as the present resources at the back have been underwhelming throughout the last season.
Th Red Devils see Harry Maguire as a viable option at the back, as he has been a trusted lieutenant for the Foxes in defense. Moreover, his brilliant exhibits during World Cup raised him to the prominence.
Thus, Manchester United have been pursuing the English International, but failed to hire him due to failed negotiations for Maguire.
However, it is now reported that Manchester United are not willing to give up on Maguire, as according to a report by the Evening Standard, the Red Devils are ready to make a £90 million offer for the 26-year-old player.
Thus, if the deal is finalized, this will be the costliest deal for a defender ever, crossing Virgil Van Dijk’s record fee made by Liverpool. On the other hand, Leicester City are assertive of keeping Maguire at the club.
Whereas, it is further reported that Ole Solskjaer has instructed Manchester United’s executive vice Chairman to do anything in capacity to lure Maguire into the club.
Although, Leicester have a massive upper hand in the talks, as Maguire during last September signed a five-year deal with his current club.
Solskjaer, on the other hand, trying to include Andreas Pereira into the offer, in order to lower down the cash, as reports suggest that Brendan Rodgers is fond of Pereira.
Therefore, it is yet to see, whether Manchester United will be able to confirm the second signing of this window before the start of the Pre-season tour.

I agree for Maguire he's quite overrated and I can see him becoming a Phil Jones 2.0 if he joins us. AWB however is a top class player, his stats are amazing playing for a lesser team like Palace.
