Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to complete four signings in the summer transfer window.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly eyeing four players to bolster his squad in the summer transfer window. The Norwegian is hoping to make drastic changes at the club as they continue to strive for major trophies.
Daniel James became Manchester United’s first signing after the Red Devils struck a 15 million with Swansea City. The young Welsh International became the first signing of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s helm at Old Trafford as well.
Four players could follow his footsteps to Old Trafford, as per Evening Standard. The Red Devils have been struggling to find a proper midfielder for a long time now. Along with that position, upgrades are expected at right-back, right-wing, and centre-back positions.
Manchester United’s targets are not private as the club work on to bring in new players. A bid worth 40 million for Aaron Wan-Bissaka was not sufficient as Palace tell United to pay 60 million to secure his services. The Red Devils board are confident about the prospect of landing him for a fee of 50 million, although is a shortage of Crystal Palace’s demands.
Leicester City’s Harry Maguire is another player strongly linked with the club. The Foxes are set to demand 80 million for the centre-back, but United are willing to pay that astronomical amount. They feel that fee anywhere around 70 million would be sufficient to land him. The likes of Kalidou Koulibaly and Milan Skrinar were linked, but their current clubs take part in the Champions League, whilst Manchester United do not.
Over the last few years, the midfield has been a major conundrum for the incoming managers. Albeit signing the likes of Paul Pogba and Fred, the Red Devils’ quality remains stagnated. Bruno Fernandes, Tanguy Ndombele, and James Maddison have been linked with a potential move to Old Trafford. The other priority to increase the depth of the right wing. The targets are unknown yet.
Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia have already left the club, while Juan Mata is expected to head the exit door after the failure to agree personal terms.

What’s next?
Manchester United remain key on Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire. The board believe that they would able to land them without matching their demands which nearly accounts to 140 million.
