Barcelona will take on Manchester United in a significant Champions League clash on Wednesday night. A Barca star, meanwhile, named 2 United players who could prove dangerous.
Manchester United and Barcelona will return to action on Wednesday night in the Champions League, as they take on each other at Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men pulled out an emphatic upset on Paris Saint-Germain in the round-of-16 of the Champions League. A second-string United side defeated PSG 3-1 at the Parc des Princes after losing the first leg 2-0.
However, things have only gone downhill for the side since. Manchester United crashed out of the FA Cup with a defeat to Wolves, and Nuno Espirito Santo’s side defeated United again in the league.
Solskjaer’s side is currently at sixth in the league table and would hope to bounce back hard with a win against Barcelona. The Catalans, meanwhile, would hope to end their disappointing run of quarterfinal defeats in the Champions League.
Philippe Coutinho, the Barcelona attacker, talked about the game against Manchester United in length, and named two United players who could make things tough for Barcelona.
Coutinho on Man Utd:
The Brazilian stated that Barcelona needs to be fully prepared for the clash, and keep an eye on two players in particular.
“It’s complicated to describe what you have to do to win against this team,” Coutinho began.
“For a start, Manchester United have a great goalkeeper and huge players in attack. Pogba and Lukaku are capable of hurting any defence and Pogba, in particular, is a great player.”
Coutinho further stated that the side needs to stop Paul Pogba because he can create ‘problems’.
“We will have to be very careful to stop him because he can generate a lot of problems for us and I think the duel with Pique will be important in both matches.
“United have had some inconsistent results recently, but it’s clear they have improved in every area under Solskjaer.”

Coutinho: “I know that Liverpool supporters will be with us at United. In almost five seasons with Liverpool I had both good and bad results there, so I’m not really thinking about the past. I only think about the present and knocking United out.”
