Manjrekar and Vaughan involved in Twitter banter: Both the former cricketers seemed to be at odds with each other.

Former India batsman Sanjay Manjrekar and former England captain Michael Vaughan have been involved in an elongated banter on social media platform Twitter regarding England cricket team’s recent performance.
It is worth mentioning that England are currently playing a Test series in Windies. After reaching there as the favorites, England were shown the harsh reality as the hosts defeated them by 381 runs to go 1-0 up in the three-match series.
From being bundled out for 77 in 30.2 overs to conceding a 295-run partnership in for the seventh wicket, it had unequivocally been one of England’s worst performance in Test matches in the recent years.
Post the match, Manjrekar highlighted England Coach Trevor Bayliss’ ‘flawed thinking and approach’ after the latter claimed this to be all-rounder Sam Curran’s ‘first bad game’ in the given format for England.
Trevor Bayliss said that Sam Curran has endured the first bad game of his career. Curran has 15 wickets in 15 innings. So it’s more his batting Bayliss is talking about…Curran bats at no 8 & 9. Highlights the flawed thinking & approach of England.#ENGvWI

Manjrekar’s criticism didn’t go down well with Vaughan, who laid emphasis on the fact that the same ‘flawed thinking’ had defeated India 4-1 last year.
The same flawed thinking that beat India 4-1 Sanjay .. #OnOn https://t.co/u9Lq2jKeWH

Giving the impression of not wanting to continue the argument, Manjrekar insisted on resting his case for he believed that such a reactions from Vaughan further spoke about the ‘flawed mindset’.
That you are reacting this way further highlights the flawed mindset. I rest my case. https://t.co/0kRCC83kpW

Not agreeing with Manjrekar over his statement, Vaughan then mentioned that what England did at Barbados was not ‘flawed thinking’ but a ‘mistake’. Taking a sly dig at the Indian team, Vaughan didn’t hesitate to point out that even the Indian team had committed a mistake by not playing all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in the second Test of India’s tour of Australia at Perth.
Sanjay .. It’s not flawed at all .. it’s called making a mistake with selection .. as India did in Perth when not playing Jadeja .. Mistakes do happen .. https://t.co/yjLf68ppbR

Meanwhile, Manjrekar had shared his ‘more elaborate’ piece on English cricket on his Twitter account. The 53-year old then tried to deviate Vaughan’s attention to the same saying that it covers more than just selection issues.
Do read my piece, Michael. It’s more than the odd selection mistake that all teams make. https://t.co/vio8UVcaKq

While Vaughan hasn’t replied on the same as of now, Manjrekar posted another tweet resounding his opinion regarding ‘bits and pieces’ players.
Just looked at the team for the finals of all World Cup Champions so far. Not one bits & pieces player barring may be Collis King in 1979. There is a strong clue in there for teams preparing for the WC.#ICCWC2019
