Martin Odegaard’s performance against Real Madrid advocates his return to Los Blancos, he was hired by the Spanish club at the age of 16.

Martin Odegaard was hired by Real Madrid when he was only 16-year-old, he was hailed to be the next big thing in the world football but never got enough exposure in the first team to get the right development.

Since then Odegaard has been plying his trade with other clubs by being on loan. These days he is playing for Real Sociedad and developed to be a top prospect in European football.

He joined the Basque club on loan in the last summer transfer window and in 23 games he has scored 6 goals and given 8 assists. Last night, he faced his own club Real Madrid.

And his performance against Real Madrid was mesmerizing, as his side eliminated Real Madrid in the quarter-final round of the Copa Del Rey and he played a prominent role in their defeat.

The Norwegian International scored the opening goal in the first half with a well-taken goal. He then ran the show from the middle of the park in a stunning display.

Highly-rated Swedish player Alexander Isak then bagged a brace to put Real Sociedad three-up. Real Madrid pulled one back but the visitors hit back and restored their three-goal lead. Zinedine Zidane’s team netted two late consolation goals.

Even though, Real Madrid lost, their biggest topic of the talk was Odegaard, as they are highly impressed with him last night and are demanding his return to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Odegaard has been exceptional this season, and have consistently performed in all the games, he has played for Real Sociedad this season, with this his arrival to Real Madrid is not so away.
