MI vs DC match in IPL 2019: Sportsrush presents before you the full Match Prediction of the third match of IPL 2019.
The Wankhede Stadium is all set to host the clash between two of the biggest cities of the
country, Mumbai and Delhi. Delhi Daredevils has changed its branding and have become Delhi
Capitals, hoping that this would also result in a change of fortunes for them in the IPL. On the
other hand, Mumbai Indians also failed to qualify for the play-offs last season, and they will be
inspired to start the season on a high.

There is nothing that separates the two sides in head-to-head statistics with both Mumbai and
Delhi winning 11 games each, which is evident of the end-to-end cricket that is anticipated when
the two sides meet.
Delhi Daredevils, now Capitals, won both their games against the Mumbai Indians last season.
The last time these two contested each other at the Wankhede, it was Jason Roy, who snatched
the victory from the mouth of the home side by smashing 11 off the last over and winning the
game on the last ball. However, there will be no Jason Roy this time for Delhi, as they have re-
structured their team for the upcoming season.
Will home conditions aid MI?
Recruiting Colin Munro, Colin Ingram and Shikhar Dhawan intothe side this season, Capitals will be captained by young Shreyas Iyer, who will be having the support of Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant in the batting department. In the bowling department, Sandeep Lamichanne and Trent Boult will be important part of the line-up, with veteran Amit Mishra and Axar Patel also contributing.
Mumbai, on the other hand, are a much more balanced side having a more experienced arsenal.
The likes of skipper Rohit Sharma, who has 516 runs against Delhi, and Kieron Pollard prove
their batting strength while Jasprit Bumrah will be leading their bowling attack.
Despite Delhi winning the last two encounters against Mumbai, the home side will be entering as
the favourites to win. They have won 5 out of 7 encounters against Delhi at the Wankhede,
however, Delhi can not be underestimated, with their talented youngsters being ones to watch.
How Twitter reacted:
It’s hard to see MI not making the play-offs this time around as well but a lot depends on Rohit himself. They kickstart their campaign against Delhi Capitals today: https://t.co/BS0HI8ErSo #MIvsDC pic.twitter.com/8lyW9KXVg1
