KKR vs KXIP match in IPL 2019: Sportsrush presents before you the full Match Prediction of the sixth match of IPL 2019.
The sixth match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League will be played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. With both the team winning their first match, tonight’s match will be an intriguing contest.

Despite both KKR and KXIP winnings their first match, both of them were found wanting at some point in time. Both the team would be eager to target the opposition’s weaknesses in a bid to register their second victory in the tournament.
In Dinesh Karthik and Ravichandran Ashwin respectively, KKR and KXIP will be led by two cricketers from Tamil Nadu. Both the captains would be looking to bank on their strengths. With Punjab defeating Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur, they would be looking to register another away victory.
What numbers suggest?
Out of the 23 matches which both the teams have played in the IPL, KKR have won 15 times where as KXIP have won on only eight occasions. In terms of their average score against each other, Knight Riders (160) better Kings XI (157) by a small margin.
Talking of the matches played at Eden Gardens, the visitors have only won three as compared to the hosts’ seven. Among the 20 matches played in India, Punjab have won just six as compared to Kolkata’s 14.
Notwithstanding the number, Kings XI’s current form might give them an upper hand against the Knight Riders. Had it not been KKR all-rounder Andre Russell’s whirlwind innings in the slog overs, KKR had almost lost their first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
With Chris Lynn looking unsure against the spinners, expect him to not dominate tonight against the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin and Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman. Sunil Narine getting injured in the last match didn’t allow him to bat at the top of the order. If he is unable to bat tonight as well, KKR would be deeply affected.
Given the form which Punjab opening batsman Chris Gayle put on display against Rajasthan Royals, he will hold the key for the visitors. While the past record is in Kolkata’s favour, there is a feeling that Kings XI Punjab will continue on their winning streak against KKR.

KXIP vs. KKR will be interesting — I don’t think KKR have the pace to take out Gayle, but Narine has a good record against him. How will Piyush and Kuldeep fare, though? #KKRvKXIP #IPL2019
