Maurizio Sarri: Jorginho warns Sarri of betrayal to Napoli amidst Juventus interest

Maurizio Sarri: Jorginho warns Sarri to not betray Napoli amidst speculations of the Italian manager joining Juventus next season.

Chelsea are speculated to withdraw Maurizio Sarri from the managerial roles at Chelsea. Despite, the Italian manager leading the Blues to a third place finish in the league and winning the Europa league, the hierarchy in Chelsea does not want to associate him with the club further.

On the other hand, Juventus have shown interest in Chelsea boss after they sacked Massimiliano Allegri a week ago, as the club need an experienced manager in the dugout.

Even though, Sarri has shown his will to see the remainder of his contract at Chelsea but the West-London club have told him to look at the other available prospects outside the club. Thus, forcing him to consider the offer made by the Italian champions.

However, At a press conference to preview Italy’s upcoming Euro 2020 qualifier against Greece, Jorginho warned Sarri to not betray Napoli fans by going to Juventus.

“It would be sad because I think [Sarri] did a good job. We finished third in the Premier League, we won the Europa League and we reached the EFL Cup Final despite all the critics.

“It was a good first season in Chelsea. It would be sad for everyone. The Napoli fans still have him in their hearts; it’s normal that they could get angry. They could treat it as a betrayal; they’re like that. We’ll see what happens.”

However, Sarri has limited options in his hands, as Chelsea are forcing him to move out and a job in the Turin-based club seems the most lucrative out of all.

On the other hand, Chelsea are targeting to land the club legend Frank Lampard from Derby to replace Sarri. At the same time, Javi Gracia is also a contender for the role at Chelsea.
